Known to neighbors as “The Castle,” this Bed & Breakfast derived its name as "The Victorian- Candle" due to its classic Victorian features and beauty. Furnished with maple flooring and cabinets made from wood that was grown within St. Mary's County, MD, the southern yellow heart pine-wood is discontinued today. This Bed and Breakfast is sure to have extra special features to make your stay a more interesting. Staffed by the family and vendors. We host lover’s getaways, business conferences, and meetings; in addition to rehearsal dinners, ond wedding ceremonies, we can offer a beautiful venue for your event.

     Jim and Susan love to entertain their guests, provide great food with a taste of culture as they enjoy family and-guests. Many items within the house, from the drapes to the upholstery were hand-made by Susan to add a personal touch to their home and your vacation's home away from home. As the owners of such a breathtaking Bed and Breakfast, Jim and Susan want their guests to relax in peace, feel comfortable, and hopefully find a home away from home in The Victorian-Candle. 

Upgrades have been made to the landscape and each room is cleaned daily and after each guest. We have steam washed the outside and built up the flower beds. All lighting is operable and all restrooms, doors and steps are in operating order. Our Bed & Breakfast offers peace, quiet and the feeling of being at home. Breakfast is served between 9:00am -9:30am. Breakfast is Complimentary, there is no charge. Eggs can be made to order by request.
